Balboa was "a gentleman of good family, great parts, liberal education, of a fine person, and in the flower of his age." Today there are over 500 working satellites in space. The practical outcome of much discussion was the design of the Discovery, a ship built expressly for scientific exploration, and the appointment of Captain Scott to command an Antarctic expedition. The great temples in Tenochtitlan were destroyed and Christian churches were constructed in their places. On April 17, 1521, Magellan and some of his men attacked a much larger force of islanders, trusting their armor and advanced weapons to win the day.
